New Black Belts!

On Saturday 28th March 2009, 2 students from Lakeland Ju-Jitsu
Academy took their Junior Black Belt.
Sammy Male (10 years old) has been training in Ju-Jitsu since the age of 4 years old & Jack Riley (12 years old) started at 6 years old.
Both students have been training extremely hard over the past 2 years to achieve their black belt.
Sensei Richard Smith (5th Dan Ju-Jitsu & founder of Lakeland Ju-Jitsu Academy) was very proud of Sammy & Jack, and says they are now
looking forward to working on their gold tabs( traditional weapons training).

Also on the same day Adam Robinson was upgraded from a junior black belt to a senior black belt.
Once you are 16 years of age you get upgraded from a junior to senior (after an internal top examination).
The following weekend, 4th April 2009, another 2 of Sensei Smith’s students took their senior black belt, Geoff Cater & Paul Wilson.
Geoff and Paul were exhausted afterwards, but were very pleased with themselves. Geoff and Paul have been training in Ju-Jitsu for
more than 5 years and now that they have achieved their 1st black belt, they will now be working towards their 2nd!
All 4 students had to perform their Ju-Jitsu techniques, blocks, kicks, throws, knife hands, palms heals and lots more in front
of a panel of technical officers , supervised by Mr Robert Clark 9th Dan Ju-Jitsu, founder of World Ju-Jitsu Federation.
